In pursuance of government of India, MHA Order No.I-45027/I/87-PERS-II dated 18-04-1991, Central Sector, CRPF, at Lucknow (UP) was sanctioned with its full complement of office staff which became functional w.e.f 18-04-91. The following officers held the charge of IGP, central sector enclosed asAppendix "A”.
History
Central Sector has 03 Range Head quarters i.e Prayagraj, Chandauli and Lucknow, 04 Group Centres i.e Amethi, Prayagraj, Chandauli & Lucknow, 06 Operational units i.e 16, 63, 93, 95, 233 (M) & 239 Bn and 04 RAF units i.e 91, 101, 104 & 108 RAF. 63, 95 and 16 Bn are providing security to 03 Shrines of the State i.e RJB, KVM/GVM and KJB/SIM respectively. 93 Bn is providing security to the Hon’ble high court of Allahabad and its bench at Lucknow and remaining 02 units i.e 233 (M) and 239 Bn are performing L&O duties.
