It is a matter of great pride and privilege for me to lead the Odisha sector. Having been established as an operational sector initially in the year 2010, this sector was later on upgraded to a full fledged sector in the year 2012. The personnel of this sector are involved in anti naxal operations. It is the having the operational control over 8 GD Battalions and 01 CoBRA Coy in the state of Odisha.
Its administrative Bns are also deployed in Jammu & Kashmir, Assam, Chhatisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, new Delhi and Bhopal for law and order duties as well as for operational activitiesDespite all prevailing odds, the operations in adm/ops areas of this sector have been carried out with great professionalism, displaying courage and bravery by CRPF for maintaining peace and tranquility. The Officers and Personnel of this Sector are highly motivated and play a positive role in nation building even under adverse geographical and climatic conditions.
We are working in close coordination with Jharkhand Police in intensifying targeted operations against Naxal commanders so as to curtail their nefarious designs.
