The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) stands as one of the oldest and largest paramilitary forces, specifically tasked with addressing the challenges of internal security and counterinsurgency. Due to the demands of their service, CRPF personnel are often unable to live with their families, leading to the settlement of separated families in various Group Centres across the country. The families of CRPF personnel must independently navigate issues related to housing, education, healthcare, and daily necessities.
Recognizing these responsibilities, the CRPF Family Welfare Association (CWA) was established and officially registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860, by the Government of Delhi on June 22, 1995. CWA operates as a non-profit organization, with membership extending to all wives of CRPF personnel. This organization is committed to identifying and fulfilling the needs and aspirations of CRPF personnel's families who are dedicated to the nation's security. It has also assumed the noble responsibility of supporting widows, next of kin (NOKs), and disabled CRPF personnel.
